• In direct ELISA, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) Activin A and rhInhibin A is observed.
• No cross-reactivity with rhInhibin B is observed.
• Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

Inhibins and activins regulate various biological functions such as:

• Hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion
• Gonadal hormone secretion
• Germ cell development and maturation
• Erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival
• Embryonic axial development and bone growth

Activins oppose the functions of inhibins.
Inhibins are predominantly expressed in liver, uterus, and ovary tissue, as well as in benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Inhibin A (α + βA) and Inhibin B (α + βB) inhibit follicle stimulating hormone secretion.
Inhibin βC forms a homodimer, predominantly expressed in adult liver and benign prostatic hyperplasia.
