Description:
The LN3 monoclonal antibody recognizes human MHC class II molecule HLA-DR, expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B cells, monocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells. HLA-DR plays a key role in peptide presentation to CD4⁺ T lymphocytes.

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry (frozen or paraffin-embedded human tissues).

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test in 100 µL final volume. Optimal titration is advised for specific assays.

Target Information

HLA-DR is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB). The DRA gene has 5 exons encoding leader peptide, extracellular domains, and transmembrane/cytoplasmic regions.
DRA acts as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5, while DRB1 contains polymorphisms that determine peptide-binding specificity.
HLA-DR is mainly expressed on antigen-presenting cells (B cells, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, activated T cells).
MHC class II molecules (DR, DQ, DP) present processed peptides to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
HLA/MHC antibodies are valuable tools in immunopeptidomics for neoantigen identification via LC-MS/MS.
