Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The coatomer is a cytosolic protein complex that binds to dilysine motifs and reversibly associates with Golgi non–clathrin-coated vesicles. It mediates biosynthetic protein transport from the ER through the Golgi to the trans-Golgi network. The coatomer complex is essential for budding from Golgi membranes and retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. In mammals, recruitment of coatomer requires ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs), small GTP-binding proteins. The complex also contributes to Golgi structural integrity and affects processing, activity, and endocytic recycling of LDL receptors.
