Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
USP8 is a ubiquitin-specific protease that plays a regulatory role in protein turnover by preventing degradation. It is involved in cell proliferation and regulates the stability of STAM2 and RASGRF1. USP8 may also regulate T-cell energy mediated by RNF128 through complex formation with RNF128 and STAM2. Structural studies show USP8 forms a ternary complex with RNF128 and OTUB1, interacting with the SH3 domain of STAM2 and RASGRF1. Expression of USP8 increases upon growth stimulation in starved human fibroblasts and decreases upon growth arrest induced by cell-cell contact.
