Target Information
MYLK (MLCK)은 세린/트레오닌 키나아제로, 마이오신 조절 경쇄를 인산화하여 수축성 활동(마이오신-액틴 상호작용)을 유도한다. MLCK는 평활근 수축, 혈관 투과성 조절 및 조직 부종 형성에 핵심적인 역할을 한다. 신경계에서는 성상세포 돌기 성장 개시 및 시냅스 전달 조절에 관여하며, 섬유아세포 세포사멸 신호에도 참여한다.
성체 및 태아 조직 전반에 걸쳐 평활근 및 비평활근 이소효소가 발현되며, 비평활근 isoform 2가 주요 스플라이스 변이체이다. Telokin isoform은 calmodulin 결합 특성을 가지며 다양한 조직에서 발견된다. MLCK는 인산화에 의해 하향 조절될 수 있으며, 단백질은 1개의 fibronectin type III domain과 9개의 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domain을 포함한다.
