MIB는 E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase로서, Delta 수용체의 유비퀴틴화를 매개합니다. 이는 Notch 단백질의 리간드로 작용하며, Delta 매개 Notch 신호를 양성 조절합니다. MIB는 Delta 수용체의 세포 내 도메인을 유비퀴틴화하여 엔도사이토시스를 유도합니다. 또한 DAPK1의 유비퀴틴화 및 프로테아좀 분해를 매개하여 DAPK1의 항-아폽토시스 효과를 억제하고 TNF 유도 세포사멸을 촉진합니다.
