Target Information
PRKD2 (also known as PKD2) is a member of the protein kinase D serine/threonine kinase family. It plays a role in signal transduction pathways induced by phorbol esters and the CCKb gastrin receptor. PRKD2 shares high homology with PKD/PKC and PKCnu, especially in zinc finger-like cysteine-rich motifs, pleckstrin homology domain, and protein kinase domain, while showing low similarity to other PKC family members.
