Target Information
The A-kinase anchor proteins (AKAPs) are a group of structurally diverse proteins that bind to the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A (PKA) and localize the holoenzyme to specific sites within the cell.
This gene encodes a member of the AKAP family that anchors PKA in ciliary axonemes and may regulate ciliary beat frequency. Alternate splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
