Product Specific Information

  • In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 25% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CXCL17 is observed.
  • Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information

CXCL17 is a chemokine that acts as a chemoattractant for monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It functions as a mucosal chemokine attracting immune cells to the lungs and plays roles in angiogenesis and potential tumor development. CXCL17 also exhibits anti-inflammatory activity in the stomach and contributes to innate defense against infections. Additionally, it activates the C-X-C chemokine receptor GPR35, inducing a transient rise in intracellular calcium levels. The 4-Cys form of CXCL17 shows higher chemoattractant potency than the 6-Cys form. Dysregulation of CXCL17 has been associated with cholera.
