Product Specific Information
This antibody detects the mature form of human Proprotein Convertase 9 (PCSK9) in direct ELISAs and Western blots.
It does not cross-react with recombinant human PCSK1, PCSK7, or recombinant mouse PCSK9.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
PCSK9 is a proprotein convertase belonging to the proteinase K subfamily of the secretory subtilase family.
It is synthesized as a soluble zymogen that undergoes autocatalytic intramolecular processing in the endoplasmic reticulum.
PCSK9 plays a key role in cholesterol homeostasis and may contribute to cortical neuron differentiation.
