Target Information
CORIN is a type II transmembrane serine protease belonging to the trypsin superfamily. It converts pro-atrial natriuretic peptide to the biologically active atrial natriuretic peptide, a cardiac hormone that regulates blood volume and pressure. CORIN may also act as a pro-brain-type natriuretic peptide convertase.
