Ubiquilin 단백질은 N-말단의 유비퀴틴 유사 도메인과 C-말단의 유비퀴틴 결합 도메인을 포함하며, 프로테아좀 및 유비퀴틴 리가아제와 상호작용하여 단백질 분해 조절에 관여합니다. 또한 presenilin 단백질의 축적을 조절하며, 알츠하이머 및 파킨슨병 관련 병변에서도 발견됩니다.
