This peptide corresponds to a 17 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human ZMYM4.
PEP-1459 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34417.
Target Information
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains characterized by the unique role of zinc and have diverse functions such as transcriptional activation or repression. Protein folding and DNA binding ability are governed by zinc ion coordination.
ZMYM4 is found to be overexpressed in human lung adenocarcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas. Overexpression of a fragment of the 3′UTR of ZMYM4 mRNA, termed Cell Death Inhibiting RNA (CDIR), protects HeLa cells from IFN-gamma-induced apoptosis, suggesting that ZMYM4 may play a role in tumorigenesis.
