This peptide corresponds to a 16 amino acid sequence near the amino terminus of human EMX2.
PEP-1457 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-34415.

Target Information

This gene encodes a homeobox-containing transcription factor homologous to the empty spiracles gene in Drosophila.
Human EMX2 is expressed in:

  • Dorsal telencephalon (developmental gradient from low rostral-lateral to high caudal-medial)
  • Olfactory neuroepithelium (complexes with eIF4E, possibly regulating mRNA transport or translation)
  • Urogenital system (epithelial tissues, negatively regulated by HOXA10)

Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct proteins.
