Target Information
GPC3는 세포 표면에 존재하는 헤파란 황산을 포함한 프로테오글리칸으로, 주로 중배엽 조직과 기관의 성장 억제 및 조절에 관여합니다. IGF2 수용체와의 상호작용을 조절하여 성장 기능에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다. Glypican 계열 단백질은 GPI 결합을 통해 세포막에 고정되며, 세포 분열 및 성장 조절, 종양 발생 소인에 관련됩니다. GPC3의 결손 돌연변이는 Simpson-Golabi-Behmel 증후군(SGBS)의 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 이는 과도한 성장과 다양한 내장 및 골격 이상을 특징으로 합니다.
