Target Information
GPC3는 세포 표면에 존재하는 헤파란 황산을 가진 프로테오글리칸으로, 주로 중배엽 조직의 성장 조절 및 IGF2 수용체와의 상호작용 조절에 관여합니다. Glypican 계열 단백질은 GPI 결합을 통해 세포막에 부착되며, 세포 분열과 성장 조절, 종양 발생에 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다. GPC3 유전자의 결손은 Simpson-Golabi-Behmel 증후군(SGBS, Simpson dysmorphia syndrome)의 원인으로 알려져 있으며, 이는 선천적 과성장 및 내장·골격 이상을 특징으로 합니다.
