SFMBT2 (Scm-like with four MBT domains 2) 유전자는 초파리의 Scm (sex comb on midleg) 유전자와 높은 유사성을 가지며, Polycomb group (PcG) 유전자로 분류됩니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 2번의 근위부 영역에 위치하며, 모성 단일친화 복제 시 치명적인 전좌와 관련이 있습니다. Sfmbt2는 이 영역에서 처음으로 확인된 각인(imprinted) 유전자입니다.
