LAMP2는 큰 아미노말단 리소좀 내 도메인, 소수성 막관통 도메인, 짧은 카르복시말단 세포질 꼬리로 구성됩니다.
LAMP2는 chaperone-mediated autophagy라는 선택적 자가포식 형태를 모니터링하는 데 사용됩니다.
LAMP 단백질은 LAMP-2A, -2B, -2C의 세 가지 변형 형태를 가지며, CD107a/LAMP-1과 함께 리소좀 막의 주요 구성 성분입니다.
LAMP 단백질은 리소좀 생합성 및 리소좀-식포 융합에 필수적이며, LAMP2는 성공적인 식포 성숙의 중요한 조절 인자입니다.
LAMP2 결핍은 다양한 조직에서 자가포식소체 축적을 유발하여 심근병증 및 근병증(Danon’s disease)을 초래합니다.
