Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

The ubiquitin (Ub) pathway involves three sequential enzymatic steps that facilitate the conjugation of Ub and Ub-like molecules to specific protein substrates.

  1. Activation: The Ub C-terminus is activated in an ATP-dependent manner by the E1 enzyme.
  2. Conjugation: The activated Ub is transferred to the E2 enzyme, forming a Ub-E2 complex.
  3. Ligation: The E3 ligase catalyzes the transfer of Ub from E2 to the target substrate.

UBE2E3 (also known as UBCH9) catalyzes the covalent attachment of ubiquitin to other proteins and plays a role in regulating transepithelial sodium transport in renal cells. It may also be involved in cell growth arrest.
UBE2E3 shuttles between the cytoplasm and nucleus in an IPO11-dependent manner and is expressed ubiquitously at low levels, with high expression in skeletal muscle.
