Target Information
DCLK3는 Ca2+/calmodulin 의존성 단백질 키나아제(CaMK) 계열과 유사한 세 가지 doublecortin-like kinase 중 하나입니다. DCLK3 mRNA는 성체 뇌에서 높게 발현되며, 간과 신장에서도 발현되어 피질 발달 외의 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다. DCLK 단백질은 X-연관 인간 뇌이랑결손증(lissencephaly)과 관련된 Doublecortin (DCX) 단백질과 상동성을 가집니다. DCX 유전자가 결손된 생쥐 모델에서는 DCLK1 발현이 증가하여 DCX 결손을 부분적으로 보상하며, DCX와 DCLK1이 모두 결손된 생쥐는 출생 전후 치사, 신피질 층 구조 이상, 해마 구조 이상을 보입니다.
