It has been successfully used in Western blot and ELISA applications.
MA1-43038 was derived from mouse Factor VII.
Target Information
Coagulation factor VII is a vitamin K-dependent protein essential for hemostasis.
It circulates in the blood as a zymogen and is activated by factors IXa, Xa, XIIa, or thrombin through minor proteolysis.
Upon activation, it forms a heavy chain with a catalytic domain and a light chain with two EGF-like domains, linked by a disulfide bond.
In the presence of factor III and calcium ions, activated factor VII further activates the coagulation cascade by converting factor IX to IXa and/or factor X to Xa.
Defects in F7 production can result in coagulopathy.
