Target Information
Chemokine-like receptor 1 (CMKLR1) acts as a receptor for the chemoattractant adipokine chemerin (RARRES2) and the omega-3 fatty acid-derived molecule resolvin E1.
Interaction with RARRES2 triggers intracellular signaling pathways including SKY, MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2), MAPK14/P38MAPK, and PI3K, resulting in modulation of immune response, adipogenesis, and angiogenesis.
Resolvin E1 reduces cytokine production in macrophages by inhibiting MAPK1/3 (ERK1/2) and NF-κB activation.
CMKLR1 also regulates adipocyte metabolism and serves as a co-receptor for several SIV and HIV-1 strains.
