Target Information
JUP (gamma-catenin) is a major cytoplasmic protein and the only known constituent common to submembranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions.
It forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and belongs to the catenin family, characterized by a repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat.
