Product Specific Information

PA1-4560 detects delta Opioid Receptor from human, mouse, and rat samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blotting applications.
This antibody detects a dominant band of approximately 48 kDa representing the monomer form of DOR-1, and may also detect dimers or trimers due to common hetero/homodimerization.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues T(361) P S D G P G G G A A A(372) of human DOR-1.

Target Information

OPRD1 (delta Opioid Receptor) is involved in the regulation of anxiety, depression, and pain.
It is a promising therapeutic target for mood disorders and drug addiction.
Delta and kappa opioid receptors can form heterodimers, functioning synergistically.
Expression is mainly observed in the brain, with high levels in the cortex, caudate, hippocampus, nucleus accumbens, and putamen.
Low expression is found in the cerebellum, hypothalamus, substantia nigra, and thalamus.
Reduced expression has been reported in the putamen and amygdala of Alzheimer’s patients and in the putamen in Parkinson’s disease.
