Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of PKC delta only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 313.
Target Information
The PKC family of serine/threonine kinases, including PRKCD (PKC delta), is activated by intracellular signal transduction pathways. In humans, at least 12 PKC isoforms have been identified, differing in structure, tissue distribution, localization, and substrate specificity. Conventional PKC isoforms (α, βI, βII, γ) are Ca²⁺- and phospholipid-dependent. PKC family members phosphorylate diverse protein targets and play key roles in cellular signaling, acting as receptors for phorbol esters. PKC delta is involved in B cell signaling and regulation of growth, apoptosis, and differentiation across multiple cell types. Alternative splicing variants encoding the same protein have been observed in human and mouse studies.
