Target Information
IkB-alpha는 NF-κB 활성을 억제하는 40 kDa 단백질로, 세포질에서 IkB 단백질과 NF-κB 이합체 간의 상호작용을 통해 핵으로의 이동을 차단합니다. TNF-α, IL-1β, PMA, LPS, UV, 바이러스 감염 등 다양한 자극에 의해 IkB-alpha가 분해되어 NF-κB가 활성화됩니다.
IkB-alpha의 인산화는 IKKα에 의해 Ser32 및 Ser36 잔기에서 일어나며, 이는 NF-κB 활성화에 필수적인 단계입니다. IKK 복합체는 IKKα, IKKβ, IKKγ 세 아단위로 구성되어 있으며, 각 단위는 IkB 인산화에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
인간에서 IkB-alpha 유전자는 14번 염색체 q arm에 위치합니다.
