For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD47 (integrin-associated protein, IAP) is a ubiquitously expressed cell surface transmembrane glycoprotein that interacts with several integrins and regulates their functions.
Engagement of CD47 by soluble ligands or counter receptors modulates various signaling pathways, including activation of heterotrimeric G proteins.
Functionally, CD47 is involved in the increase in intracellular calcium concentration upon cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix.
It also serves as a receptor for the C-terminal cell-binding domain of thrombospondin and may participate in membrane transport and signal transduction.
CD47 is broadly distributed across tissues and reduced in expression on Rh erythrocytes.
It acts as a ligand for CD172a (signal regulatory protein alpha, SIRPα), an immune inhibitory receptor on macrophages, preventing phagocytosis of CD47-positive cells.
The CD47–CD172a system influences cell migration, B cell adhesion, T cell activation, modulation of chondrocyte mechanical responses, and neuronal development—particularly abundant in synapse-rich regions of the brain and retina.
