Target Information
TCP-1 (t complex polypeptide 1)는 진핵세포질에 존재하는 CCT(chaperonin containing TCP-1) 복합체의 서브유닛입니다. CCT는 8개의 서로 다른 서브유닛(TCP-1 alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta, eta, theta)으로 구성되며, 각각 별도의 유전자로 암호화됩니다.
TCP-1 zeta는 actin과 tubulin의 접힘(folding)에 관여하는 분자 샤페론으로 알려져 있으며, 생쥐에서 배아 치사와 꼬리 결손 표현형과 관련이 있습니다. 포유류 및 효모의 TCP-1은 세포질 단백질의 접힘 과정에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
