Target Information
CDY1 단백질은 chromodomain과 histone acetyltransferase 촉매 도메인을 포함합니다.
Chromodomain 단백질은 heterochromatin 유사 복합체의 구성 요소로서 유전자 억제자로 작용할 수 있습니다.
Histone hyperacetylation은 protamine이 histone을 대체하는 DNA 포장 과정 전환을 촉진하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
이 단백질은 후기 정자세포의 핵에 위치하며, 인간 Y 염색체 내 palindrome 영역에 두 개의 동일한 복사본이 존재합니다.
또한 유사 유전자와 pseudogene이 존재하며, 두 가지 단백질 isoform이 transcript variant에 의해 암호화됩니다.
