Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
SMCHD1 is required for maintenance of X inactivation in females and hypermethylation of CpG islands associated with inactive X. It participates in a pathway that mediates slow methylation of a subset of CpG islands and requires the de novo methyltransferase DNMT3B. It is also required for DUX4 silencing in somatic cells.
