Target Information
GOT2 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme existing in cytoplasmic (GOT1) and mitochondrial (GOT2) forms. It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism and in the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology.
