Target Information
IGF2BP2 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 mRNA-binding Protein 2) is a member of the IGF-II mRNA-binding protein (IMP) family.
It recruits target transcripts to cytoplasmic protein–RNA complexes and contains multiple KH and RRM domains.
This protein binds to the 5′ UTR of IGF2 mRNA to regulate its translation.
Alternate transcriptional splice variants producing different isoforms have been characterized.
Autoantibodies against IGF2BP2 are detected in sera from some patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
