Target Information

STK3 (MST2)는 STE kinase 계열 단백질로, MAP kinase 신호전달 경로 상위에서 작용하며, staurosporine 및 FAS ligand에 의해 활성화됩니다.
이 단백질은 스트레스 반응성, 세포자멸사 유도성 키나아제로서, caspase 절단 후 핵으로 이동하여 염색질 응축 및 DNA 절편화를 유도합니다.
STK3는 세포 증식 억제와 세포자멸사를 촉진하여 장기 크기 조절 및 종양 억제에 중요한 Hippo 신호경로의 핵심 구성요소입니다.
STK3/MST2 및 STK4/MST1은 SAV1과 복합체를 이루어 LATS1/2를 활성화하고, LATS2는 YAP1과 WWTR1/TAZ를 인산화하여 핵 내 전위를 억제함으로써 세포 증식, 사멸, 이동 관련 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
이 경로는 간세포 증식 억제, 간 줄기세포 활성화 방지 및 종양 형성 억제에 필수적입니다.
