The immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 20–35 from rat Rattin protein.
Target Information
Rattin은 Humanin과 상동성을 가진 새로운 rat 유전자에서 유래한 펩타이드로, β-amyloid peptide(Ab) 또는 조기 발병 가족성 알츠하이머병 돌연변이에 의해 유도되는 신경세포 사멸로부터 보호하는 분비성 펩타이드입니다.
Rattin은 Humanin과 계통학적으로 관련된 새로운 보호성 펩타이드 군의 원형으로, Ab뿐만 아니라 흥분독성 신경세포 사멸에 대해서도 보호 활성을 나타냅니다.
Rat Rattin은 38개의 아미노산으로 구성되며, Humanin보다 15개 더 길고 보존된 영역에서 73%의 동일성을 보입니다.
