DIRAS3 유전자는 ras superfamily의 일원으로, 정상 난소 및 유방 상피세포에서 발현되지만 난소 및 유방암에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
이 유전자는 부계 대립유전자만 발현되는 각인 유전자로, 성장 억제와 관련이 있습니다.
따라서 DIRAS3는 종양 억제 기능을 가진 유전자로 추정되며, 암에서 그 기능이 소실될 수 있습니다.
