Product Specific Information

The SN3 monoclonal antibody reacts with the human CD24 molecule, also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HSA). This 35–50 kDa molecule is anchored in the plasma membrane via phosphatidylinositol and is expressed by erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage. It has been reported that P-selectin (CD62P) binds to CD24.

Applications Reported: This eBioSN3 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Alexa Fluor 700 emits at 723 nm and can be excited with the red laser (633–647 nm). Recommended optical setup: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 band pass filter.

Target Information

CD24 is a two-chain glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from bone marrow pro-B cells to mature surface Ig-positive B cells. Plasma cell expression is very low or negative. CD24 is also expressed on most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. It may play a role in regulation of B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity control.
