Specificity: HC2 recognizes human C-X-C chemokine receptor type 2 (CXCR2).
CD182 is a 360 amino acid multipass membrane glycoprotein expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and certain subsets of T cells and endothelial cells.
Target Information
CXCR2 is a receptor for interleukin-8 (IL-8), a potent neutrophil chemotactic factor and member of the GPCR family.
Binding of IL-8 activates neutrophils via a G-protein mediated phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
This receptor binds IL-8, GRO/MGSA, and NAP-2 with high affinity and is expressed in various tissues, including placenta and thymus.
