This peptide corresponds to a 17 amino acid sequence near the carboxy terminus of human LRRTM2.
PEP-1211 can be used as a blocking peptide with polyclonal antibody PA5-21097.

Target Information

Leucine-rich repeat transmembrane neuronal proteins (LRRTMs) are differentially expressed in the nervous system and are involved in synaptic differentiation.
LRRTM1 and LRRTM2 are the most potent at inducing presynaptic differentiation.
Each LRRTM protein is a type I transmembrane protein containing ten extracellular leucine-rich repeats and a short intracellular tail, with distinct developmental expression patterns.
LRRTM2 interacts with PSD-95, regulates the surface expression of AMPA receptors, and functions as a neurexin ligand by binding both Neurexin 1-alpha and -beta, playing a crucial role in excitatory synapse development.
