Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts with an epitope at amino acids 283–440 (exon 4–6).
Recommended positive controls include placenta or breast tissue.
This antibody is not suitable for Western blot.
Without BSA, it can be used as a capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA.
Target Information
IGF1R (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 Receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates the actions of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1).
It binds IGF1 with high affinity and IGF2/insulin with lower affinity.
Activated IGF1R is involved in cell growth and survival control, playing a crucial role in tumor transformation and survival of malignant cells.
Ligand binding activates receptor kinase activity and leads to autophosphorylation and phosphorylation of substrates functioning as signaling adapter proteins.
