Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
HHV8 has been found to be associated with three different diseases observed in AIDS patients:
- Kaposi’s sarcoma
- Primary effusion lymphoma (a rare type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma affecting body cavities)
- Multicentric Castleman’s disease
There is substantial evidence supporting a direct role for HHV8 in Kaposi’s sarcoma.
