Product Specific Information
- Tested in direct ELISA (For coating use antibody at 1–5 µg/mL).
- For immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
HHV8 is associated with three diseases observed in AIDS patients:
- Kaposi’s sarcoma
- Primary effusion lymphoma (a rare non-Hodgkin lymphoma affecting body cavities)
- Multicentric Castleman’s disease
Evidence supports a direct role for HHV8 in Kaposi’s sarcoma.
