Target Information
KCNK10 is a member of the potassium channel protein superfamily containing two pore-forming P domains. This gene is highly expressed in the kidney and pancreas. The channel primarily passes outward current under physiological K⁺ concentrations and is strongly stimulated by arachidonic acid, and to a lesser extent by membrane stretching, intracellular acidification, and general anesthetics. Three transcript variants have been identified.
