Target Information

CD50 (intracellular adhesion molecule 3, ICAM-3) is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed by leukocytes and serves as a counter-receptor for the lymphocyte function-associated antigen (LFA)-1 integrin.
ICAM-3 mediates contact between T cells and antigen-presenting cells, regulates LFA-1 affinity for ICAM-1, and induces T cell activation and proliferation.
It plays an essential role in initiating immune responses and interacts with CD209 (DC-SIGN), a C-type lectin on dendritic cells and macrophages, facilitating communication between dendritic cells and granulocytes.
