Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Beta-catenin is an adherens junction (AJ) protein essential for cell-cell adhesion and epithelial layer maintenance. It interacts with E-cadherin and alpha-catenin, linking the adhesion complex to the actin cytoskeleton.
Beta-catenin also associates with adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein, microtubules, and participates in Wnt/Wingless signaling pathways.
It plays a key role in morphogenesis, cell proliferation, and tumorigenesis, being implicated in cancers such as colorectal, ovarian, breast, liver, and skin cancers.
In the nucleus, beta-catenin co-activates Lef/Tcf transcription factors to stimulate genes like cyclin D and c-myc.
