This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening of individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Parathyroid hormone receptor 1 (PTH1R) is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor family. It acts as a receptor for parathyroid hormone (PTH) and parathyroid hormone-like hormone (PTHLH). Its activity is mediated by G proteins that activate adenylyl cyclase and a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.

Defects in PTH1R are associated with:

• Jansen’s metaphyseal chondrodysplasia (JMC)
• Chondrodysplasia Blomstrand type (BOCD)
• Enchondromatosis

PTH1R expression has been reported in bone, breast, brain, colon, GI tract, kidney, liver, placenta, skin, umbilical cord, and uterus.
