This antibody is expected to recognize all three reported isoforms (NP_005580.1; NP_001265522.1; NP_001265523.1).
Tested in Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000.
Target Information
This protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenases family. It functions in valine and pyrimidine catabolic pathways. The encoded mitochondrial methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase catalyzes the irreversible oxidative decarboxylation of malonate and methylmalonate semialdehydes to acetyl- and propionyl-CoA.
Deficiency in this enzyme results in elevated beta-alanine, 3-hydroxypropionic acid, and both isomers of 3-amino and 3-hydroxyisobutyric acids in urine.
