Target Information
MMP9 (matrix metallopeptidase 9, GELB, CLG4B)는 아연 및 칼슘 의존성 엔도펩티데이스 계열의 단백질로, 세포외기질 단백질을 분해하는 기능을 합니다.
MMP9는 92 kDa 전구체 형태로 분비되며, 절단 후 82 kDa 활성형 효소로 전환됩니다. 이 효소는 젤라틴 결합 도메인, 아연 결합 부위를 포함한 촉매 도메인, 프로린이 풍부한 도메인 및 헴옵렉신 유사 도메인을 가지고 있습니다.
MMP9는 단핵구, 대식세포, 호중구, 각질형성세포, 섬유아세포, 파골세포, 내피세포 등 다양한 세포에서 발현되며 염증 반응, 조직 재형성, 상처 치유, 종양 성장 및 전이에 관여합니다.
또한, MMP9는 골수 유래 세포에서 공급되어 피부암 발생에 기여하며, type IV 및 V collagen을 분해합니다.
연구 결과, MMP9의 발현 증가는 특발성 심방세동 및 대동맥류 진행과 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
