PA1-4218 detects the TAZ protein in human, mouse, and rat samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures and detects a ~49 kDa protein representing TAZ in MDCK cells.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues V(386) E S A L N K S E P FL T W L(400) of the 49 kDa human TAZ protein.

Target Information

WW domain-containing transcription regulator protein 1 (WWTR1) is a transcriptional coactivator acting downstream in the Hippo signaling pathway.
This pathway regulates organ size and tumor suppression by controlling cell proliferation and apoptosis.
WWTR1 interacts with PAX8 and NKX2-1/TTF1-dependent gene activation, regulates nuclear accumulation of SMADS, and couples them to transcriptional machinery such as the mediator complex.
It also plays a key role in embryonic stem-cell self-renewal and promotes cell proliferation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
