이 유전자의 돌연변이는 epidermolysis bullosa junctional Herlitz type 및 generalized atrophic benign epidermolysis bullosa와 같은 피부 수포 질환을 유발할 수 있습니다.
여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 보고되어 있으며, 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다.
