APLNR (Apelin Receptor)는 G 단백질 연결 수용체(gene family)에 속하는 단백질로, 안지오텐신 수용체와 유사하지만 실제로는 아펠린 수용체로서 adenylate cyclase 활성을 억제합니다.
이 수용체는 안지오텐신 II의 혈압 상승 작용에 대한 상반 조절 역할을 하며, 심혈관계 및 중추신경계, 포도당 대사, 배아 및 종양 혈관형성, HIV-1 공동수용체 기능 등에 관여합니다.
두 가지 전사 변이체(transcript variants)가 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 확인되었습니다.
